Nestled in the Wichita Mountains is Medicine Park, southwest Oklahoma’s quaint hippie community built of native cobblestone. The town has an interesting history of attracting presidents and celebrities to take a swim in its supposed medicinal waters. Take a swim in Medicine Creek yourself or rent a canoe or paddleboard. Stroll down the streets and visit unique shops, have an ice cream or dinner or attend one of the town’s many music festivals. Medicine Park is also home to the area’s only aquarium.
